Class Rules While in class, the children will be expected to abide by the following rules: Keep their hands to themselves, unless directed by a coach. Listen to the coach. Land on their feet. Finish with their arms up. HAVE FUN!!!!!! Children learn best through progressions. Instruction will focus on basic gymnastics positions and then build on the skills of each child without asking them to do something they are not ready for or that is not safe. Morning Out Morning Out is a two hour drop off service for children 3-5 (must be potty trained). We will do an hour of gymnastics, provide a snack, and other activities, including arts and crafts and story time. It will be offered on the following Monday mornings: Jan 4, 18; Feb 1, 15; March 1 1 –4 Years Open Workout This Open Workout is not a structured class, but an opportunity for participants to get a workout. A coach will be present to lead a warm-up and enforce the class rules. Parents are required to participate with their children. 1 Year This is a structured class that focuses on interaction between the children and the parents. Instruction is for the parents on spotting, body position, and developmentally appropriate progressions. 2 Years Classes focus on interaction between the children and the coach with the assistance of the parents. Instruction emphasizes acquiring new skills through following directions. 2 and 3 Years Parent/Child Class This class is for older two and younger three year olds with parent participation. The focus is on interaction between the children and the coach with the assistance of the parents. Instruction emphasizes acquiring new skills through following directions and encouraging the children to participate on their own. 3 Years Classes focus on interaction between the children and the coach. Instruction emphasizes acquiring new skills and working together through group activities. 4+ Years Beginners Classes focus on basic floor skills and skill combinations as well as basic skills on bars, beam, vault, parallel bars, rings, and pommel horse. 4+ Years Level 1 Classes focus on progressive floor skills and skill combinations as well as progressive skills on bars, beam, vault, parallel bars, rings, and pommel horse. The focus is on Level 1 skills as determined by USA Gymnastics. Beginning Flip Flop Shop The Beginning Flip Flop Shop is designed for athletes working on basic tumbling skills such as cartwheels, handstands, and bridges. Flip Flop Shop Flip Flop Shop is designed for athletes working on back handsprings, round off back handsprings, and other advanced tumbling skills. Intermediate Girls This class is designed for girls that have already achieved basic gymnastics skills such as handstands, cartwheels, and kick overs. It runs for an hour and a half and it is invite only. Ladies Stretch This class is for women. We combine cardio and core training, with an emphasis on stretching. Adult Gymnastics This class is for men and women at any skill level. We focus on core training and basic gymnastic skills. We will |
