OWNER AND HEAD COACH ELISA DRY

           Former New Mexico State Champion Gymnast Elisa Dry has been a USA Gymnastics Safety Certified Coach since 1996.  She has completed training with nationally recognized programs such as The Little Gym, Patti Komara’s Tumblebear Gym Program, and USA Gymnastics.  She has instructed children and youth from ages 4 months to 18 years as well as adults.  She has also worked as a training manager where she developed training programs and materials.  She was named 2008 Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year for the state of New Mexico.  She is proud of the Tumbledown Family for receiving the 2009 Business Excellence Award presented by the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce and Century Bank.

           She has been trained in early childhood and youth development with CARE International, the Peace Corps, and as a graduate student at Clark University.  She is child and adult CPR and First Aid certified.

           Coaching gymnastics has helped finance her education and given her the skills and self confidence to achieve her goals as an academic and development practitioner.  She values her interaction with children and enjoys learning from them as well.

 

OFFICE MANAGER JENNIFER LAIN JOHNSON

           A proud Native Texan, Jen moved to Santa Fe in July 2006 and joined the staff at Tumbledown in October 2008.  With a BA degree in Social Science, and over 15 years of experience in office administration, she enjoys using her organizational skills to help businesses run more efficiently.  Jen is married to Micah Johnson, whom she married on April 18, 2008, exactly two years after they first traded emails at match.com.  She spends all of her spare time loving on her two dogs, Bud and Crash, while doing documentary work, which is her life’s purpose.  She completed her first short film, “life...to go,” in 2008, and is looking for a new project that will allow her to spend more time at home – in Texas.

ASSISTANT MANAGER AMY BONAL

           Amy has been coaching at Tumbledown since October of 2007.  She graduated from Santa Fe High School in 1993.  She has been married for nine years and is the mother of two children Autumn and Alora.  She has worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and Orthodontic Assistant.  She is currently pursuing a degree in Exercise Science at Santa Fe Community College.  She is USA Gymnastics Safety Certified.

 

COACH JILLIAN MARTINEZ

           Jillian is a senior at Santa Fe High School where she has been a varsity cheerleader for four years.  She also works as a PT Tech at New Mexico Sports and Physical Therapy.  She plans on attending the University of New Mexico to pursue a degree in Physical Therapy.  She is CPR certified and has been working at Tumbledown for over a year.

 

COACH PAULA MAHAN

           Paula has lived in Santa Fe for thirteen years.  She is married and has two boys, sixteen and twenty.  She is a former collegiate gymnast and has taught competitive and recreational gymnastics off and on for the past 23 years.  She has been at Mesilla Valley Gymnastics in Las Cruces, Brookside Gymnastics in Farmington, and Zia Gymnastics here in Santa Fe.  She taught summer camps across the Midwest for the National Gymnastics Institute.  Her kids are getting older and  she has come back to coaching again for fun.

 

ASSISTANT COACH DARCIE WEBB

           Darcie attends Santa Fe High School.  She is a varsity cheerleader and has been cheering and tumbling for seven years.  We are proud of her 4.0 GPA.

 

ASSISTANT COACH RAUL SERRANO

           Raul is a Senior at Capital High School.  He participates in Martial Arts and tumbling.  After graduation he hopes to pursue a position in the medical field.  He is CPR certified.

 

ASSISTANT COACH MARIAH SALYER

           Mariah is a junior at Waldorf and former Level 9 gymnast from Oregon.

 

ASSISTANT COACH JORDYN BARELA

           Jordyn is a student at Santa Fe High and has three younger sisters that have given her great experience for working with children.

 

VOLUNTEER JANELLE ETHERIDGE DRY

           Janelle moved to New Mexico in 2002.  She is the proud mother of Sheila and wife of Michael Dry (who also happens to be Elisa’s brother).  Currently Janelle is working on her bachelor’s degree at UNM in fine arts with a focus on sculpture and ceramics.  She plans to graduate in the spring of 2010.

Janelle likes to spend her spare time creating strange creatures in clay, reading and hiking with her husband and two dogs Lulu and Rusty.
